Dara O Briains Go 8 Bit cancelled after three series

Dave have revealed Dara O Briains video game show Go 8 Bit has been cancelled after three series.

The show was one of the last places spotlighting video games on television, which pitted celebrities against one another across a number of titles.

Bizarrely, the shows cancellation was discovered via Twitter in response to a fans query.

The official Dave channel account, wrote: After three great series of Go8Bit we dont have plans for any more.

The last series began in February 2018 and ran for 10 episodes, with celebrities including Jonathan Ross and footballer David James.

In another bizarre turn, the shows co-creator and team captain Steve McNeill found out about the cancellation via an unearthed tweet from UKTV Play posted two weeks ago.

Taking to Twitter, Steve wrote: I knew it was very unlikely #Go8Bit was coming back, but the tweets were the first time I realised it was definitely over.

Theres hope the show could return on online platforms, with Steve stating theyre looking into a bunch of new ways to explore the show.
