Susannah Constantine was left furious after being booted out of Strictly Come Dancing in the first week of eliminations, after telling pals that she was concerned being partnered with Anton du Beke would turn her into a joke act.

Susannah ended up in tears after the scores were given out — she takes herself quite seriously and wasnt happy about it, a source close to the show has claimed.

Susannah scored 12 during Saturday nights episode, the second of the season and the first that would lead to an eliminatiom; on Sunday, viewers saw the judges unanimously decide to send her home after she was in the bottom two with Lee Ryan.

However now a source close to the show has claimed that she was unimpressed at being paired with Anton Du Beke — fearing they would become this years joke act.

Speaking to The Sun, the insider added: She told people it was to do with her son going off to uni but she was obviously furious. She seemed to hate every minute of it. She ignored the other dancers and didnt talk to the judges and seemed to think she was above everyone else.

She certainly didnt want to join in with congratulating Ashley (Roberts) on her amazing marks.

After being eliminated, Susannah said: I know it has gone a bit quick, but you know what I just feel so lucky to have had three weeks learning to dance with Anton and to have met all these amazing people.

And for me they are the most important and I feel really privileged to have met them all, and it has been amazing. And thank you (judges) youve made the right choice you guys, Lee and Nadiya were brilliant but Anton is still the king!

Anton said he had had a fabulous time with Susannah, adding: Sadly someones got to go but I wish it wasnt you because youre wonderful to be with.

Im going to miss spending time with you in the studio, weve had a great time, weve had enormous amounts of fun and youre wonderful and thank you very much indeed.
