Shes managed to cause a whole lot of trouble in just a handful of episodes (RIP Joe Tate) so just imagine what Kim Tate is going to get up to when she returns to Emmerdale for good. Its finally happening – the Home Farm legend has been signed up for a full time comeback as Claire King gets her teeth back into the role.
Claire will be off screen until next year due to existing commitments but once Kim has served the remainder of her sentence, she will be back with a vengeance to lay her claim to Home Farm.
There are a lot of things she needs to tie up too – not only has she ordered Graham Foster to track down her missing son James but she will also have to contend with the drama between Graham and Cain Dingle who were involved in Joes demise.
On top of that, she is yet to find out that Faith was the one who pushed her from that balcony but we can imagine an all out Dingle v Tate war when that revelation explodes. And thats before we consider the inevitable clashes between Kim and Charity.

Enthusing about her return, Claire said: You knew she wasnt going to go away quietly, so Im so pleased to announce Kim will be back. Its been great fun keeping it under wraps but now she can really get down to business!
Executive Producer, Jane Hudson added: Although Kims initial return was fleeting, she caused such mischief and chaos that we simply couldnt resist bringing her back. Kim Tate is just getting warmed up for an explosive 2019 which will see her hell-bent on getting exactly what, and who, she wants.
Look out, Emmerdale, you arent going to know what hits you.
Claire returns to filming next year but a return date for Kim has yet to be confirmed.
