Walking Dead fans are in for a nail-biting few episode over the coming weeks, as its been confirmed one of the main characters – Rick Grimes – will be leaving the show.
Grimes, played by Andrew Lincoln, is a firm favourite in the cast, but will succumb to the walkers in the end.
The shows creators have released a trailer of his last moments, and some synopsis leaks and interviews have given a clearer idea of his demise.

AMC and The Walking Dead have confirmed that Rick Grimes final scenes play out in season nine episode five, which is airing on 4 November.
After a synopsis leak, it was confirmed that this would be Grimes last episode (and made even clearer by the fact the synopsis for episode six was originally missing).

According to Independent.co.uk, the synopsis for episode five reads: Rick is forced to face the past as he struggles to maintain the safety of the communities and protect the future he and Carl envisioned.
Showrunner Angela Kang gave us a few more hints about Ricks fate in one interview. She said, in episode five, You see him in the middle of a selfless act [at the end of the episode], and already, hes getting just completely screwed.
Its something that tells you about the kind of person he is. Thats the story well be telling in his final episode of the show.
The Walking Dead airs Sundays on AMC in the US and follows a day later on FOX UK.
