With the release of Vikings 5B less than a month away, the bosses have decided to give us another taste of whats to come.

And we dont think were ready for it.

From the start of the series, it has been drilled into us that the only way to become the King of Kattegat is to kill the current ruler.

In season one, Ragnar Lothbrok took the life of Earl Haraldson in a duel to the death, which saw the farmer take the throne.

History then repeated itself when Lagertha (played by Katheryn Winnick) killed Queen Aslaug in an attempt to seize power while the Sons Of Ragnar were at war.

Has Lagerthas death been confirmed? (Picture: History)

So when Ivar The Boneless (played by Alex Høgh Andersen) can be heard shouting All hail your new king in the new teaser trailer, we cant help but come to the conclusion that he has killed Lagertha for the throne.

The only other possible theory is that he has taken over another plot of land where he will fight both Lagertha and his brothers to the death.

But it appears the Vikings have more to worry about than their new king, as he is now boasting about his godlike status.

While staring into a pit of fire, the new ruler says: I am no ordinary man, I am no ordinary ruler.

Before shouting at his people: Do not be afraid that I have been revealed to be a God.

His brother Hvitserk (played by Marco Ilsø) looks unsure (probably pulling the same face we all were watching that clip) before Ivar smirks and spits: I am divine.

One thing the trailer does confirm, however, is that Floki (played by Gustaf Skarsgard) is in fact alive.

We last saw him on the brink of sacrificing himself to the new world, leaving us all confused as to whether or not he would be confirmed dead in 5B.

But it looks as though he is alive and ready to throw himself into battle.

As Ivar yells: Bring on the sacrifice, Floki can be seen screaming while surrounded by fire.

Were unsure which side hell chose, but as he raised Ivar like his own, we can only guess that hed pick the new kings side.

As much as it saddens us to say it, we really wouldnt be surprised if our beloved Floki ends up dead.

Guess well just have to wait and see, as Vikings season five returns November 28 on History Channel and Amazon Prime.
