Malayalam TV anchor Durga Menon passes away at 35

Popular Malayalam TV host Durga Menon passed away on Friday in a private hospital in Kochi. She was just 35 years old.

According to reports, she was undergoing treatment for an autoimmune disease called Lupus, in which the bodys immune system attacks normal, healthy tissues. She was kept on ventilator support for the last 21 days and unfortunately succumbed to a heart attack on Friday evening.

She gained popularity, within a short period of time, with her lifestyle talk show Love and Lost. She had also hosted chat shows including Love and Love Only on Kiran TV. Her signature show, Love and Lost was first of its kind in Malayalam TV, where a platform was provided to discuss love and relationship issues.

She is survived by husband Vinod, a businessman, and son Gowrinath.

Durgas body was taken to her ancestral home in Kodungallur. The funeral will take place on Monday.
