Earlier this year, T-series had already announced the making of a biopic on his Gulshan Kumar titled Mogul.

T-Series has decided to take legal action against Kamal Anand for wanting to make a documentary on their founder and mentor Gulshan Kumar. According to reports, Kamal Anand recently made an announcement about making a documentary on music baron, Shri Gulshan Kumar. T-Series has categorically stated that Kamal Anand is not authorized by them to do so nor has he approached the company or its owners for their consent. Leading to this, the company has decided to take a legal route on the matter.

According to a spokesperson from the company, T-Series is not taking this announcement lightly and has decided to send out a legal notice to Kamal Anand to stop them from going ahead. Shri Gulshan Kumars son and the present Chairman and Managing Director of T-Series, Mr. Bhushan Kumar, has already announced the making of a biopic on his father titled Mogul.

Earlier, Kamal Anand in a statement mentioned, “I had a long and close association with Gulshanji and am the witness of his sky rise success. I thought of to share his success story with the world and am sure that his success story will inspire todays youth. The duration of my film will be of an hour and it will show how he scaled the ladder of success when he came from Delhi to Mumbai to expand his music business. How he named his music company T Series, how he defeated the then giant music company HMV, how he transformed the music rights of film into paying territory for producers, how he promoted the new talents and how he persuaded Jimmy Narula to leave HMV and join T Series and many other things including his business acumen will be shown in this film in an interesting way. Currently, I am in search of a face resembling Gulshanji and once this is done the film will start rolling and it will be shot in Delhi and Mumbai and it will be directed by an award-winning director “.
