What can viewers expect from the installment?

Judging by the most recent teaser trailer released earlier this month, it doesnt look all too good for Ivar The Boneless.

The new King of Kattegat can be heard defending his position seemingly after he has seized the throne from Lagertha.

In a voiceover, Ivar says: I am trying to rule the world. I am trying to rule for the benefit of our people.

Scenes of chaos can be seen as the warriors head into the civil war between the Sons Of Ragnar.

The King continues: Not the strangers, not the outsiders who threaten us.

But still you hate me? Why?

Will there be any new cast members?

While its not yet be clear who will survive the season, we do know of one addition to the cast – Russian actor Danila Kozlovsky.

Kozlovsky will join the show as Oleg the prophet, aka Oleg Novgorod – a 10th Century Varangian prince who ruled the Rus people.

The actor previously appeared in the 2016 movie Viking as one of Olegs successors, Vladimir The Great, Prince Of Novgorod.
