Being sacked from The Apprentice isnt going to stand in the way of Jasmine Kundra bagging a job with Lord Alan Sugar.

During tonights instalment of the 14th series of the Beebs long-running reality show, the 34-year-old Learning and Development manager was told she was too corporate for the corporate competition, before Lord Sugar uttered the two immortal words youre fired.

Well, you cant knock Jasmines determination to work with her business hero. Despite losing out to boardroom regulars Tom Bunday and Sabrina Stocker, the latest candidate to be axed from The Apprentice is still hopeful the Lord will change his mind.

I am still heartbroken and absolutely gutted, Jasmine exclusively told Metro.co.uk. I have been really focused throughout the process and often accused of taking it too seriously, sometimes, and “the fun police”.

For me £250,000 is serious so I always had this laser focus to win and to be out on week eight is really quite devastating.

But dont rule her out yet.

Im still hoping Lord Sugar will call me and say, “You know what Jasmine, Ive reflected on this bit and I think wed work really well together.” Well see.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, she added. And I think there are certain things I would have done differently, of course there are for all of us – its an opportunity of a lifetime – but I think, “Did I do anything thats a sackable offence on this task?” Im not sure I did.

I dont think being too corporate is a stackable offence.

Unless youre auditioning to be a Butlins Redcoat, she has a point, which is why it comes as somewhat of a surprise to see Tom still in the process, despite, once again, failing to make a single penny.

I sold two high end pieces of art, Sabrina sold some merchandise, I dont know the figures but I know she sold some, and Tom sold nothing, Jasmine noted, with an understandable dose of frustration.

Based on the task I thought I was safe, dare I say, so I didnt come out with as much defence in the boardroom as I normally would.

Tom made a passionate plea to Lord Sugar and he made it at just the right time – and thats what saved him. I should have spoken up and I regret that massively.

Not only was Tom passionate when he needed to be about his own place in the competition, he suddenly had a lot of thoughts about why Jasmine shouldnt be there too, accusing her of being difficult.

I was blindsided, Jasmine sighed. I aspire to have good relations with people.

We had a whole road trip to Glasgow and there was no talk whatsoever – no friction or anything at all for eight hours on the drive to Glasgow or the eight hours driving back, so to say in the boardroom that Im difficult to work with, I wasnt expecting that, and Im not sure it was a true reflection of what happened.

Regardless, Lord Sugar had his say and now just eight candidates remain: Sabrina, Tom, Sian Gabbidon, Sarah Ann Magson, Camilla Ainsworth, Daniel Elahi, Jackie Fast and Khadija Kalifa.

The Apprentice continues next Wednesday at 9pm on BBC One.
