The Game of Thrones reunion youve always wanted has happened.

The cast of the HBO fantasy series have filmed a reunion special episode which will be available after season eight ends in 2019.

And itll feature faces both old and new from the show with Sean Bean, who played Ned Stark, sitting down alongside his former colleagues for an appearance during the episode.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the special was filmed in Belfast earlier this year with Conan OBrien hosting the discussion.

It wont be shown on HBO but instead included as a bonus in an almighty GoT bumper box set that includes every season – one to eight – together for the first time.

The remaining six episodes of season eight will premiere in April 2019 so the box set will likely arrive later in the year.

The news comes not long after Sean, 59, pretty much leaked details about the special and that he had filmed with his former co-stars.

The actor said: They decided to get all the characters together for a bit for this big show in Belfast and [Conan] kind of hosted the evening.

Conan OBrien did this thing. It was the last episode, so we all got together. It was good. Its funny with work, you dont really keep in touch. You do so many types of jobs in that part of the world.

He added fondly: Its just like whenever I see old friends or even old drama school friends, its just the same, we pick up where we left off last time.

Ah, well miss Sean being able to spoil GoT news.

The reunion is a pretty good reason to explain why Jason Momoa, who played Khal Drogo, was spotted in Belfast where much of the Game of Thrones filming takes place.

Khaleesis one true love wasnt exactly being discreet about his arrival in town either, as he was spotted taking pictures with fans and partying with the likes of Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke.
