Jamie Redknapp has poked fun at his father Harry Redknapps appearance on Im A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here.

The 45-year-old retired footballer phoned into the ITV2 spin-off show Im A Celebrity: Extra Camp to talk about Harrys stint in the Australian jungle, and laughing at the 71-year-olds lack of enthusiasm of the exotic menu in the camp – think Wallaby shanks and Ostrich omelets – Jamie said: What does he expect, fish or chips to come in or something?

Commenting on Harrys facial expression after finding out whats for dinner, Jamie added: Every time its the same face. Its brilliant.

He doesnt realise he is funny, Jamie later pointed out, but when he wasnt fondly taking digs at the retired football manager, he praised his father for being brave for taking part in the reality TV series.

You cant hide in them programmes, in the end, it all comes out in the wash, he concluded.

The phone conversation comes after viewers were left screaming over Harrys attitude over Malique Thompson-Dwyers elimination from the jungle.

During the Monday nights episode, Harry muttered, no-ones died, when his fellow camp-mates sadly waved off Malique.

Later, in the Bush Telegraph, he continued: Everyone was a bit “Oh Malique, oh Malique”. Hes only going over the bridge, hes not going away to do a 25 stretch for being a Great Train Robber or something!
