Declan Donnelly is looking ahead to a great reunion with presenting pal Ant McPartlin.

After spending three weeks in the jungle with Holly Willoughby – and achieving record ratings for Im A Celeb – Dec cant wait to get back to normal on Britains Got Talent next month.

Ant & Dec are expected to film together as soon as January 2019, following Ants concerted effort to turn his life around, and return to work.

Its back to normal for BGT – fingers crossed it will be great, Dec told The Mirror on Monday, hinting at his excitement for a new series of the ITV talent show.

Reports first emerged about Ants long-awaited return to TV on Sunday, just as Holly was finishing her role as stand-in presenter for Im A Celeb.

He stayed at home during Im A Celeb filming for the first time in 16 years while This Mornings Holly agreed to fill in, and now Dec says, There is nobody he would have preferred to stand next to.

He added: We were thrilled with the ratings, they are absolutely great. Holly has been fantastic too, just brilliant. She was the one I wanted and I am thrilled she did it.

Nevertheless, viewers have been begging for a TV reunion between the double act – who have been on screens together since they were teenagers.

Last year, Ant returned for Britains Got Talent 2018 filming but later pulled out of the live shows in May, leaving Dec to present alone.

Before that, in April, Dec presented Saturday Night Takeaway by himself after Ants drink-drive conviction in March.
