Although Game of Thrones season eight is set to premiere in April 2019, fan theories are already coming in thick and fast.

While some reckon that Khal Drogo could return to defeat The Night King, the latest conspiracy is that Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) will be the one to overthrow him – and to be honest, were here for it.

Diehard fans are keen to discover the outcome of the award-winning HBO show, as talk of a brutal battle between the Night Kings Army of the Dead and the living has been teased as the biggest battle TV has ever seen.

Fans are now suggesting on social media that Jaime might well be the one to take the master of the White Walkers down himself.

Aegon and Daenerys die together but give birth to a baby, Jaime kills the Night King but dies, every other major character dies, and Tyrion lives to tell their story and takes care of Aegons and Daenerys baby and sails back to Essos, added another.

The conversation continued on Reddit too, with user Arcaroth saying: Jaime will kill the Night King using the scorpion [and] valyrian steel arrow which will be reforged from his sword by Gendry, but this time he will not kill the fire king, but kill the ice king.

The user added that the scorpion could be key to Jamie defeating The Night King, saying a previous scene could have foreshadowed whats to come.

On the fields of fire, he told Bronn to shoot Drogon with the scorpion because he cant shoot with one hand, they continued. He will have to do it this time.

Game of Thrones season 8 will return to HBO and Sky Atlantic in 2019. Seasons 1-7 are currently streaming on NOW TV.
