Strictlys Kevin Clifton fights back tears in emotional thank you video after winning with Stacey Dooley
Kevin Clifton is clearly very emotional over his win with Stacey Dooley on Strictly tonight – and has posted a heartfelt video of thanks where hes holding back tears.
Stacey and Kevin raised the glitterball trophy tonight – marking Kevins first ever win on the show after six years in the series and making it to the final five times.
Speaking to the camera, Kevins make-up is running down his face as he tries to hold it together for Strictlys Twitter followers, and almost manages it.
Alongside Stacey, he said: Thank you so much for everyone that voted. This girl so deserves it – shes been absolutely brilliant. Thank you, each and every single one of you for voting for us.
He then teared up again as he said: You can see how much it means, I think!
Stacey then stepped in and added: You never going to take for granted are going to get behind you or become fond of you or rate your dancing or whatever.
So genuinely made up, genuinely touched that we sortve got this relationship with you guys. King Kev so deserves this, Im made up for him.
Ive got a glitterball! Im in a state of shock!, she added. Ive just had the best time. Thank you so, so much.
Kevin and Stacey took home the victory for 2018 despite coming bottom on the leaderboard in the judges scores.
They faced off against Ashley Roberts, Joe Sugg and Faye Tozer to be given the coveted glitterball.
More: Strictly Come Dancing
Viewers rose to their defence early in the competition after they accused judge Craig Revel-Horwood of undermarking them and Joe Sugg.
However, they did enough to be crowned this years champions – causing Kevin to break down in tears.
