The Big Bang Theory is adding a new face to its 12th and final season. Lindsey Kraft (Grace and Frankie, Dirty John, The Conners, Living Bibically) will appear in a recurring role on the long-running CBS sitcom.

Kraft will play Marissa, the new bride of Pennys ex-husband Zack, a role reprised by Brian Thomas Smith. Kraft will first appear on Jan. 10 episode and return for multiple episodes. The semi-spoilery logline for the episode states: “Zack and his wife want a baby, but when Zack is infertile, they ask Leonard for help.”

Show creator Chuck Lorre recently told Deadline that they have discussed the finale to the sitcom and that they have a general idea of what they are aiming for with May and the finale.

“These days theres a lot of melancholy in the background at all times,” he said. “Its been a 12-year project that has been really just a joy. Its going to be very, very sad to let it go.”

The Big Bang Theory remains one of the most popular on television — Season 11 averaged 18.9 million viewers and was the second most-watched series of last season (behind Roseanne) and among adults 18-49, Big Bang was the second highest-rated entertainment program (behind NBCs This Is Us).

The news of Krafts casting was first reported by Deadlines sister site TVLine.
