Jason Momoa has revealed his happiness that his character on Game Of Thrones, Khal Drogo was killed of early in the HBO game.

And he might be the only one who believes such a thing.

However, the actor has a very sweet reason behind wanting to keep his characters time on the cult show short and sweet – to pave way for the brilliance that is Khaleesi.

When asked about his reaction to bowing out so quickly, Jason said: Im actually really, really happy with how it all turned out because, you know, you just cant keep that character alive.

Even when I watch it, it just wouldnt fit. Khaleesi [Daenerys] … I feel like she inherits that strength and she has to be by herself and do it that way.

Aquaman told the New York Daily News he was still a massive fan of the show – as we eagerly await the eighth and final season – and watched it with his wife Lisa Bonet.

Hes not the only one who loves it, though, as he added the admiration he still receives for the role.

Even now, people just cant stop … they love Khal Drogo. Its unbelievable, he said. Like, one season. I dont know any other character thats done one season out of eight or nine that people just go [wild]. I didnt know it was going to be that big.

While well always love the dude as Khal, hes swum ahead of all expectations (see what we did there) in the titular role of the DC aquatic warrior that hasnt even been released in the US yet.

Reports have claimed Aquaman has already made around $150million (£119m). The film will sail into cinemas in North America on 21 December, so we can expect that wave to rise significantly as Jasons turn as the superhero has been widely celebrated.

According to Hollywood Reporter, Aquaman has made the biggest splash in China, where it has made around $135million (£107m), boasting record numbers for December and the best ever start for a DC film.

Thats not all, as the movie has already earned more in the last week than the entire runs of both Black Panther and Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Game Of Thrones returns to HBO in 2019.
