Vikings star Marco Ilsø hits out at HBO for snub as they pay homage to classic series for Christmas

HBO Nordic has been streaming the new season of Vikings, one day after it has aired on the History Channel in America (just like that of Amazon Prime).

But despite the programmes success, it seems the network have missed Vikings off their Christmas cards this year – and its pretty awkward.

Taking to Instagram, Hvitserk star Marco Ilsø shared a picture of the card hed received from the channel, which had all the names of their hit shows featured on the front in the shape of a Christmas tree.

With the likes of Westworld, The Sopranos, Big Little Lies and Game Of Thrones plonked nicely on the tree – it appears theyd missed one vital show off their list.

Writing on the picture, the 24-year-old was quick to pull them up on this, as he questioned where Vikings was.

The actor wrote: Thanks for Christmas present @HBONordic, before adding: *Vikings?

But despite not featuring on their card, he didnt go without, as in the background it looked as though the channel had sent over some chocolates to see him through the festive period.

Marcos character Hvitserk had a lucky escape from Ivars wrath this week as he managed to dodge the all important sacrifice.

Instead, his brother killed off a Lagertha lookalike before shocking fans by also taking The Seers life.

However, it seems he has a new threat on its way in the shape of Norways king Harald, and Marco might have just confirmed that the warrior manages to take Kattegat from Ivar in the up coming series.

Taking to Reddit, a fan disclosed their theory after spotting a potential spoiler in the background of a group picture the actor shared onto his socials.

They said: Now a lot of people here have discussed the mystery of Kattegats banners hanging in Kattegat for 6B, the red banner with two triangles in it.

In the most recent episode of Vikings, 13, there was a scene where Harald entered York.

And his flag banners were shown as the exact same design as the banners in Kattegat for 6b,except they are in reverse colours (sic).

The user added: Yellow banner with two red triangles on it. Now it has been shown that people who have become king/queen of Kattegat in the past have changed their banners when they became rulers.

Now this makes me think that it really confirms Harald ends up king in Kattegat.

Vikings continues Wednesday on the History Channel and Amazon Prime.
