Pete Davidson Says Louis C.K. Once Narked on Him to Lorne Michaels

Add Pete Davidson to the rapidly growing list of people condemning Louis C.K. right now. During a stand-up set in Boston on Monday, Davidson reportedly claimed that C.K. once made a comment to his Saturday Night Live boss, Lorne Michaels, about his marijuana use—saying, among other things, “Pete smokes so much weed that it makes people uncomfortable.”

According to Us Weekly, Davidson noted during his set that multiple celebrities hes gotten tattoos of—including Alan Rickman and Gene Wilder—passed away relatively soon afterward. Then came a dark segue: “So Ive been thinking about getting a tattoo of Louis C.K.,” Davidson said. “What do you guys think?”

Per Us, Davidson claims that when C.K. hosted S.N.L. for the fourth time in April 2017, C.K. “told all the producers in front of me that all this kid does is smoke weed and hes gonna smoke his career away.”

“Then five years later this motherfuckers been locking doors and jerking off in front of people,” Davidson said.

In November 2017, C.K. admitted to having masturbated in front of multiple women without their explicit consent. In a statement, C.K. wrote, “The hardest regret to live with is what youve done to hurt someone else. And I can hardly wrap my head around the scope of hurt I brought on them. . . . I have spent my long and lucky career talking and saying anything I want. I will now step back and take a long time to listen.”

In 2018, the comedian began performing again—in surprise sets that prompted backlash and even, in some cases, drew protesters. And this week, leaked audio from a recent set inspired even more outrage, due to the comedians chosen material. In the leaked set, the comedian mocked Parkland survivors, non-binary people, and others.

C.K. is just one of several disgraced men to try and mount a comeback in the wake of #MeToo. Just days before C.K.s recent set leaked, Kevin Spacey shared a bizarre in-character video as House of Cardss nefarious Frank Underwood. As C.K. continues his apparent image pivot, stories like Davidsons might serve as fascinating footnotes in the ongoing character study.

A legal representative for Louis C.K. did not immediately respond to V.F.s request for comment. Davidsons manager did not immediately respond to V.F.s request for comment, and a representative for S.N.L. declined to comment.
