Luthers Alice Morgan theory sweeps Twitter as fans suspect series 5 plot twist

Luthers series five finale left viewers completely shocked when Alice Morgan seemingly plunged to her death.
In the dramatic scenes which aired last night, Ruth Wilsons character was seen dangling off a 50-foot ledge before she plunged to the floor and died.
However, Alice has played the whole Im not really dead card before and fans are utterly convinced that shes already played it again, as she seemingly re-appeared when Idris Elbas DCI Luther was arrested by armed police .
#Luther I think Luthers been arrested as hes the only one there to blame because Alice isnt dead, she got up after the fall and dressed as the armed police… whos wearing a normal balaclava and no helmet or goggles???

Eagle-eyed viewers spotted that as Luther was being marched down the street by armed forces, one member of the squad wasnt dressed in the identical uniform.

Instead, the mysteriously masked character was dressed in a black balaclava and ominously stood lurching behind the detective.
Could this be Alice? Could she have staged her own death once again? Did she have the foresight locate a fake police uniform and keep it in a safe nearby place? Well, shes done it before…
Taking their conspiracy theories to Twitter, one person suggested: I think Luthers been arrested as hes the only one there to blame because Alice isnt dead, she got up after the fall and dressed as the armed police… whos wearing a normal balaclava and no helmet or goggles?

Meanwhile another observed: Telling you now, Alice is still alive and walked Luther out at the end in Police gear.
If this is the case then it looks like the Alice and Killing Eves Villanelle crossover could actually happen for real.
