Its zombie time: Fear the Walking Dead has officially released the premiere date for the fifth season.
The season premiere of AMCs spin-off of The Walking Dead is returning to TV screens on Sunday 2 June at 9pm.
The trailer was released to fans on Sunday at the pop culture expo WonderCon at Anaheim Convention Centre.
The synopsis for season five sets up the crews mission: Locate survivors and help make whats left of the world a slightly better place, Deadline reports.
With dogged determination, Morgan Jones (James) leads the group with a philosophy rooted in benevolence, community and hope. Each character believes that helping others will allow them to make up for the wrongs of their pasts.
But trust wont be easily earned. Their mission of helping others will be put to the ultimate test when our group finds themselves in uncharted territory, one which will force them to face not just their pasts but also their fears.

It is only through facing those fears that the group will discover an entirely new way to live, one that will leave them forever changed.
The spin-off may see Dwight make an appearance.
Played by Austin Amelio, he was last seen being banished by Daryl, commanded to never return to Alexandria in the season eight finale in The Walking Dead, but it looks like he will be following in Morgans footsteps, and the pair might even reunite.

When asked about how Dwight and Morgans first encounter will go down, Amelio told fans at Wizard World New Orleans: I have no idea. I really dont.
I know that both of our stories, theres redemptive qualities to where were going and what we want to give back into the world.
