Jeff Brazier has spoken about how his two sons reacted to the death of their mum, Jade Goody, who passed away after a battle with cervical cancer.

Appearing in an advert for family insurance company Polly.co.uk, Jeff says it was insanely unfair for Bobby, 15, and Freddie, 14, to lose their incredible mum Jade and speaks about their reaction to hearing she was about to pass away.

I remember when Jade very bravely told them that she was going to be going to heaven, he says over photos of the boys with their mum. For six months after that they were absolutely all over the place.

This March marked ten years since Jade passed away; an anniversary husband Jack Tweed and her mother, Jackiey Budden, marked by placing flowers at her grave.

Bobby and Freddie, meanwhile, used the day to raise money for Marie Curie and Great Ormond Street Hospital at a private quiz night held for family and friends.

Jeff has spoken of his sons struggle with grief a lot in the run-up to the ten-year anniversary and says he noticed a change in their behaviour.

They promise as teenagers that its not impacting on them, but obviously you know better as an adult, he explained while speaking on a panel about grief. You can see it, and its really difficult when your little babies are struggling or suffering with something that you cant take away.

The father and TV presenter also told Daily Star Sunday how Bobby and Freddie find it difficult to talk about Jade and that their monthly discussions about their mum have become less and less frequent: It can be very confusing at times because where mum should be an easy conversation to bring up at this late stage, it actually becomes harder because teenagers dont want to talk about things theyre emotionally invested in.

I need to make sure they still talk about their mum and never forget about her. I want them to continually challenge and question their grief. I dont want them to suppress it. Thats my fear.

Jades husband Jack Tweed, who she married just one month before she passed away, has also spoken out about his depression and anxiety. I live with a lot of anxiety and depression but I keep a lot of things to myself, he told OK! magazine, describing his emotions as a rollercoaster since the death of his wife.

She was 100 million per cent the love of my life. Nobody has ever come close to Jade and I dont see how they ever will. That pain of losing the person you love never goes away, he added.

One positive result of the Big Brother stars illness was that, at the time, the amount of women attending cervical screenings that test for cancer skyrocketed to 400,000 over the next year in a phenomenon now known as The Jade Goody Effect. Since then, however, the numbers have once again dwindled.
