Ted Bundys wife Elizabeth Kendall came to the set for upcoming film Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile and even offered advice to Lily Collins.

Lily, who plays serial killer Bundys partner in the biopic alongside Zac Efron, was incredibly thankful for Lizs involvement and said that she and her daughter Molly were gracious.

Speaking to Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield on This Morning, Lily revealed: I went and met Liz, the woman that I play.

It was really helpful and and her daughter Molly, were so gracious in inviting me in and giving me material to look at, and just speaking to me and allowing me to ask questions.

But within the filming process, she came and visited the set and was just a positive light on set, which I dont know one would expect her to be necessarily with what happened.

More: This Morning

Bundy was an American serial killer, kidnapper, rapist, burglar, and necrophile, born on 24 November 1946 in Vermont.

He is known for the many brutal murders he carried out, the number of which is at least thirty, although the total has never been confirmed.

Lily agreed not to look at any imagery of Bundys films while shooting in a bid to play Liz as true to form as possible.

That being said, I was woken up pretty much every day with these horrific images in my head and it was the same time every morning, she remembered.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10.30am on ITV.
