This year marked the series finale of Broad City, a show that put a millennial spin on the female-led comedy and spoke to a very specific generation of women. Co-created by and starring Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer and executive produced by Amy Poehler, the Comedy Central series ran five seasons, and through all the off-center New York City stoner adventures, it resonated with audiences and will continue to do so.

Jacobson and Poehler talked during Deadlines fourth annual The Contenders Emmys about saying goodbye to the series and its impact.

Broad City marks the first series Poehler has produced outside of Parks and Recreation, and she says its been a wonderful journey for the show. She also managed to slip in that the show hasnt been Emmy-nominated yet, “so chop-chop!” she insisted.
