Susanna Reid thanks Piers Morgan for mansplaining womens football after heated rant

Piers Morgan broke into a furious rant over womens football when appearing on Good Morning Britain.

The shows host couldnt work out why there were four female pundits discussing the Fifa Womans World Cup ahead of the match last night.

When chatting to his partner in crime, Susanna Reid, the 54-year-old explained the situation, and made his views about equality very clear.

The debate started when Susanna joked about the father-of-four calling the footballers lady players.

She quipped: Lady players? Were they not very good?

Piers replied: What we cant call them that anymore what do we call them? There were four pundits all talking about the womens world cup – all women.

Funny that, quality, a great thing until you have to do it yourself.

He snapped: If it was four blokes, youd all be screaming.

After Susanna tried to defend her point, Piers started to talk about balancing up equality.

He stated: You dont want to balance up, what you want to do is do what youve all been screaming about for the last 100 years.

You want to make it unequal again, but your way. Its not about balancing is it?

He later referred to Rebekah Vardys tweet where she shared a picture of the four pundits and asked, what happened to equality?

Piers said: Its not about being equal its about being just as unequal as the problem youve been shouting about for the last 100 years.

Trying to shut him down, Susanna smirked: Thank you, mansplaining womens football to us.

To which Piers spat: You dont want equality, you want it just to be unfair the other way, just admit it, you want to eliminate men.

And it seems as though he ruffled a couple of feathers, as one viewer wrote on Twitter: Its called a refreshing change to have 4 women on panel…no issue with that.
