Catherine Tyldesley slaps down Coronation Street crisis rumours as she talks possible Eva Price return

Catherine Tyldesley has slapped down rumours Coronation Street is having a major crisis.

Bosses at the ITV soap have found themselves in the spotlight recently, with a string of cast members leaving the show – including Lucy Fallon, Faye Brookes and Kym Marsh.

But the Eva Price actress is adamant all speculation has been blown out of proportion, and she loved her time in Weatherfield.

Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk, the 35-year-old told us: Ive always said Ive got nothing but positivity for Corrie and I think everything just been blown out of proportion.

Everybody I know that works there adores that place, so theres never any hard feelings.

I think people like to create little stories, but as boring as it sounds, were one big family and even when youve left, you still feel like part of the family, youre just a bit of a distant cousin for a while.

Its a great place to be.

So thats that then.

And, despite leaving the cobbles a year ago, the mum-of-one hasnt ruled out a return for everyones favourite barmaid.

When asked if she would return, she continued: Yeah, never say never! It was my home for a long time and Id love to see Eva go back there at some point when the times right for me.

It would be [lovely] to revisit that. She was great to play.

Catherine also shared a sweet message to her former Coronation Street co-stars – especially Shayne Ward – after they all won big at the British Soap Awards.

I didnt get chance to watch it but I was following on social media and I was just absolutely thrilled to bits for Shayne obviously and everybody involved with that storyline, she added.

Bless him! I messaged him, it was so deserved.

We all keep in touch and its lovely to see them all doing well.
