EastEnders spoilers: Callums dad Jonno violently attacks Ben Mitchell

The arrival of Callum Halfway Highways (Tony Clay) and Stuarts (Ricky Champ) dad Jonno into EastEnders immediately leads to violence as the aggressive father starts intimidating his sons before then targeting Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden). But will he discover the attraction between Ben and his son Callum and if so, will his ugly, bigoted side get even more aggressive?

With an oblivious Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) looking ahead to her wedding, she suggests to Callum that he invites his parents to the big day and its instantly clear that its a touchy subject.

Whitney turns to Stuart to try and persuade him to talk to Callum and he urges his brother to think it over, eventually convinving him to reach out to Jonno. A nervous Callum prepares to meet his dad and Jay Mitchell (Jamie Borthwick) can see how nervous he is and offers him a pep talk.

Eventually, Stuart and Callum are reunited with their dad but despite him immediately charming Whitney, it becomes clear that he isnt the nice guy that he is portraying. Callum eventually invites him to the wedding but Jonno turns critical and questions his sons career choices. He later then gets on the wrong side of Ben and his dad Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) and there is frission in the Vic.

Later in the week, Whitney uses Callum as a model for the shirts she has designed for the Pride event but Callum feels uncomfortable and avoids meeting up with Stuart and Jonno. Later, when Jonno and Callum talk, Ben interferes in the situation and makes subtle digs, leaving Callum anxious that he will reveal too much.

While Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) warns Callum that his dad is trouble, Jonno follows Ben to the toilets and violence explodes, before Ben later offers advice to Callum. But after Ben kisses Callum affectionately on the cheek, a shocked Stuart witnesses the exchange.
