Comedy legend Adrian Edmondson has joined the cast of EastEnders.
Having made his debut on the soap on Tuesday, 25 June, Ade is playing a brand new character called Daniel Cook.

Who is Daniel Cook in EastEnders?
Even though Daniel hasnt exactly made the best first impression on Jean, it was revealed previously that he will be become her love interest.
The two of them met while Jean continued her treatment for ovarian cancer, and his support will eventually help her get through this very difficult time in her life.
The pair are set to form a strong bond with each other thanks to his jokes and charm.
Exec producer Jon Sen has said: Adrians a phenomenal talent who will bring his unique blend of intelligence, warmth and humour to the role of Daniel. Were all over the moon hes coming to Walford and cant wait for this love story to hit screens later this year.

Meanwhile Ade himself has said: There were only fifteen boys on my drama course at Manchester Uni, and Ill be the third to appear in EastEnders – so I feel its a kind of tradition!
