A third series of The Walking Dead is in the works – and extras are needed.

Kendall Cooper Agency is looking for extras to appear in the new series, based upon the popular AMC series.

In particular, they are looking for extras who have a background in movement or dance.

Production is seeking people of all ethnicities, ages, genders, and types to play various characters throughout the series the agency revealed in a Facebook post.

Specifically seeking actors with a background in movement or dance, with open availability and a flexible schedule.

The open call for extras will run on 29 June. Actors who are interested are encouraged to apply by emailing [email protected], with the subject line WALKING DEAD.

More details can be found on the casting agencys Facebook page.

The series has been created by Walking Dead writers Scott Gimple and Matt Negrete, who will act as showrunner.

It is set to focus on the first generation born after the fall of civilisation, with two female protagonists set to be the leading characters.

Scott told comicbook.com that Were trying to open up these new worlds of The Walking Dead to show different corners, different tones, different aspects. Hopefully they compliment one another.

He also revealed that the show will focus on women more than ever, saying: A lot of the shows have very strong female characters, but there are a lot more stories to be told in our world about complicated women.

Weve just begun to scratch the surface. I continue to be very interested in that.
