A greedy golden retriever swallowed five pounds of decorative rocks after his family poured leftover barbecue juices over them.
Four year-old Finnegan got stuck in to the stones after picking up the scent of buttery shrimp juices that had been discarded after a barbecue.
His owner Laurie, of Wellington in Ohio, was shocked to see Finnegan poop and vomit out the rocks the next morning, and rushed him to her local veterinary surgery.
She said: It had to have been at least five pounds. His stomach was full. His intestines were full; they were all throughout him.
Once at the clinic, Finnegan was x-rayed, with the result showing the shocking and scary numbers of rocks inside the much-loved pet.
