A dark storyline has been getting underway on Coronation Street as Yasmeen Shelley King) falls victim to Geoff (Ian Bartholomew)s controlling and manipulative behaviour.
The pairs relationship has deteriorated recently and things arent about to get better any time soon, with the radio DJ showing his true colours as he attempts to control all aspects of her life.
The coercive control storyline is only going to get worse for Yasmeen as friends become increasingly worried about her.
But how has he abused her so far and whats next for the character?

How is Geoff abusing Yasmeen in Coronation Street?
The storyline kicked off properly last week when Yasmeen was punished by Geoff for staying too long at a wine tasting with Cathy (Melanie Hill), missing she missed out on Geoffs plans to have Sally (Sally Dynevor) and Tim (Joe Duttine) round for tea.

After bombarding her with angry text messages in her absence, he reacted on her return home by tearing strips off her before stomping off to the spare room – and claiming the next day she had promised to go for a walk with him, blaming her forgetfulness on drinking the night before.
And it didnt stop there, after he poured water on Ryans (Ryan Prescott)s mixing desk at Speed Daal, convincing Yasmeen she was responsible.
Hes also been orchestrating jewellery thefts from her and blaming it on the DJs at the restaurant – although hell be caught out on that front on Monday night when he drops a necklace of hers in front of Alya (Sair Khan).
What does he do next?
Monday nights show will also see Geoff attempt to act the perfect gentleman towards Yasmeen as he presents her with a champagne breakfast and offers to help her speak to her insurance company to get her finances sorted.
He also prevents her from taking on a big catering job for a fundraiser which Alya is involved with – telling her she is too old to take on such work.
All of this is paving the way for even darker things to come as Geoff takes over Yasmeens bank account and isolates her from friends and family.
And things will get even worse when he has CCTV installed in order to watch her every move at home – with Yasmeen totally unaware what he is up to.
