Who is Susan Cookson who plays Lees mum Wendy Posner on Emmerdale?

Victoria Barton has been through a horrifying rape ordeal, and sadly the traumatic fallout of her assault at the hands of Lee Posner is far from over.

Victoria (Isobel Hodgins) has been through more than enough trauma for one lifetime, but sadly, shes going to have to go through more.

As if it wasnt bad enough that her rapists mother Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson) confronted her in the Woolpack toilets, soon Lee (Kris Mochrie) and his mother will learn that Victoria is pregnant with Lees baby.

Who is Emmerdales Susan Cookson?

Soap fans might well recognise Susan from Casualty, in which she played Dr Maggie Coldwell on and off from 2005 until 2015.

You might also remember her from her previous Emmerdale role – that of DI Judy Dove, whom Susan played in 2003.

Susan has been acting professionally since the early 90s when she made her start in the Ken Loach drama Raining Stones.

Before she portrayed Dr. Coldwell, Susan also appeared on Casualty as Julie Day – a role she played from 1998 until 2000.

Shes also appeared in the likes of Fat Friends, Clocking Off, Queer as Folk, Waterloo Road and Land Girls.

One of her most recent roles was that of Marion Logan in Coronation Street, whom she played from 2015 until 2016.

On the subject of her joining Emmerdale again, Susan Cookson said: I am thrilled and delighted to be joining the community, both on and off screen, that is Emmerdale.
