Actor Kevin Spacey is no longer facing a civil lawsuit from a Nantucket man who previously accused him of unwanted physical contact. According to the mans attorney, Mitchell Garabedian, his client has withdrawn the lawsuit filed June 26 in Nantucket Superior Court.

The accuser, a then-18-year-old busboy working at Nantucket bar Club Car, previously alleged that Spacey sexually assaulted him. According to the Los Angeles Times, Garabedian announced the dismissal in an email to media outlets, without explaining his clients decision and declining any further comment.

The withdrawal, filed in Nantucket Superior Court, did not reveal if any kind of settlement had been reached between Spacey and his accuser. The lawsuit was also dropped “with prejudice”—meaning it cant be refiled—though Spacey will still have to contend with criminal charges of indecent assault and battery. Spacey pleaded not guilty to the charges in January.
