Gavin and Stacey stars look tense while filming Christmas reunion as Uncle Bryn whips out iconic t-shirt

Filming for Gavin and Stacey has taken over Barry Island, ahead of the eagerly anticipated Christmas special.

And fans were whipped up into a frenzy at the thought of a new addition to the gang, with Stacey (Joanna Page) sporting what looked to be a prosthetic baby bump.

Which means we might be in for another Obama, Osama lecture from Nessa (Ruth Jones), if were lucky.

But it doesnt appear to be a happy occasion for the couple, as new pictures from the set emerged – showing them appearing a little tense with one another.

In fact, in one photo, the mum-to-be stands with her arms crossed, looking seriously annoyed at her Gavin (Matthew Horne), who is staring off into the distance.

We can all but guarantee Smithy had something to do with this…

And James Corden seemed to be staying out of the whole thing, instead taking a second to get selfies with fans.

Uncle Bryn (Rob Brydon) may have been trying to diffuse all the tension, as he was spotted filming scenes solo while donning his infamous Greece t-shirt.

Yknow, the one Stacey definitely didnt buy him on her honeymoon…

We have seriously missed the gang.

James confirmed the reunion was officially happening back in May, giving fans on social media the first look at the script.

Ruth Jones and I have been keeping this secret for a while… Were excited to share it with you. See you on Christmas Day, he said.

And in a joint statement with Ruth, he added: Over the last ten years weve talked a lot about Gavin and Stacey – where they might be today and what their lives might look like. And so in secret we took the plunge and wrote this one hour special.

Weve loved revisiting Barry and Essex again and bringing the characters back together has been a joy.
