Caitlyn Jenner told her ex-wife Linda Thompson she was transitioning decades before she revealed it to the world.
Caitlyns son Brody revealed his mum waited until he was older before telling him his father wanted to live as a woman.
Opening up about the moment she found out, Linda admitted she felt she had lost her normal life.
In a scene from the most recent episode of The Hills: New Beginnings, Brody said: My mom has known for decades. She never tyold me until I was like 27 years old when she told me what he was going through.
The way she handled that situation and waited to tell us until we were old enough to understand better, was the right thing to do. Shes got a big heart.
Linda explained to her sons and Brodys wife at dinner: My life circumstance has been crazy. I was so happily married to Bruce Jenner. I had this great normal life until this fateful day, stood right over there, where Bruce said to me I wanna transition.

In my mind I had lost my normal, my family, my wonderful husband that I thought would be forever.
I had just lost my husband and the father of my kids. I was devastated. But that was just a momentary reaction. My greater sympathy had to go out ot Caitlyn.
She also spoke about Brodys troubled relationship with Caitlyn, adding: I dont give Caitlyn a pass for not being a father. I dont think there is an excuse ever to not be with your children. Its not what you would ever do, to have a child and then not call them on their birthday and be a parent to them.
Brody later said: Not having Caitlyn at my wedding was a bummer. I would have loved to have had her there but she had better things to do apparently.
Linda advised Brody that you just gotta let it go. You have to forgive.
