Formula 2 driver Anthoine Hubert has died after a crash at the Belgian Grand Prix, FIA officials have confirmed.

The 22-year-old was killed after colliding with American driver Juan Manuel Correa at about 170mph at the Raidillon swerves.

Motorsports governing body the FIA said in a statement that the Frenchman was taken to the medical centre following the crash at the Spa-Francorchamps race track in Stavelot.

But Hubert, who drove for the BWT Arden team, died at 6.35pm local time.

Correa was rushed to Liege hospital and is in a stable condition, the FIA added.
