Britains Got Talent: The Champions left everyone in shock last night as series one winner Paul Potts failed to make it through to the top three.

The legendary singer, who recently revealed he flipped a coin to decide whether hed audition for the first-ever edition of the ITV show, was visibly anxious as he sang in front of Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams – proving his incredible humility.

Paul later revealed that production changed the direction of the camera after 15 run-throughs which led to reports claiming that he blamed bosses for his shaky ensemble.

However, the singer has now dismissed these stories and instead insists that hes the only one at fault.

Addressing his fanbase on Twitter about his nerves, Paul wrote: I blamed myself. I self analyse after every performance and I can pick out every error.

My job is to do everything I can to avoid slipping up due to these things including technical issues.

Thank you to everyone for your wishes, he said. I hope you enjoyed my performance of the Godfather/Parla Piu piano.

I appreciate the start that BGT gave me and so I was happy to return to the show and will be happy to do so again. What a gracious hero!

Yesterdays show saw Kseniya Simonova become the first act on Britains Got Talent: The Champions to earn the coveted golden buzzer, with comic daredevils Bello and Annaliese Nock also making it through to the finals.

Sadly it was a total wipeout for Boogie Storm, Connie Talbot, and Ashley and Sully, Bad Salsa, The Nelson Twins and The Sacred Riana failing to make it through.
