Kelvin Fletcher reportedly ditched the upcoming series of Dancing On Ice for Strictly Come Dancing.

The Emmerdale actor, who replaced Made In Chelseas Jamie Laing after he was forced to pull out due to injury, was confirmed to be joining the BBC show on Saturday.

But Gemma Collins has alleged that Kelvin snubbed the ITV competition show in favour of the iconic ballroom and spilled all on Lorraine.

He was apparently meant to be doing Dancing On Ice then Jamie, bless him, hurt his foot and they called him up and he said, “Im going to Strictly,” Gemma said.

She joked: So there might be room for me to return this year.

Metro.co.uk has contacted Dancing On Ice for comment.

Gemma also admitted that she wants to go on Strictly in 2020, having competed in Dancing On Ice earlier this year.

I really, really would [want to go on Strictly], she enthused. I did love doing Dancing On Ice.

Theyre really backing me the BBC, so hopefully next year. You never know.

Strictly finally kicked off on Saturday with the celebrity and professional pairings revealed alongside a glitz and glam performance from Kylie Minogue.

Jamies departure was addressed during the launch show, where they showed a behind-the-scenes clip revealing how he has to rest his injured foot for eight weeks.

He told viewers: Hello everyone, I just wanted to give everyone a quick update on my foot. Now because of the injury it means Im going to be in a boot for eight weeks recovering which means I wont be a part of the show.

I want to wish all my fellow competitors the best of luck. You guys are going to rock it without a doubt and Ill be supporting from the sidelines with or without the boot.
