Everyone knows that Christmas Day is the biggest date in the soaps calendar and EastEnders has reportedly lined up a whopper.

Thanks to one stars insight, it looks like Albert Square is set to be rocked across the festive period by a storyline so impressive that fans wont be left yearning for the good old days – like when the Brannings all found out about Max (Jake Wood) and Staceys (Lacey Turner) affair by watching a mysterious DVD that had been gifted to Bradley (Charlie Clements).

Lucy Benjamin, who plays Lisa Fowler, teased to Metro.co.uk theres great stuff lined up and we cant wait.

Speaking on the red carpet at Mondays TV Choice Awards, she spilled: Christmas is going to be big. Theres lots of exciting and fabulous stuff.

I think no one is going to be disappointed about Christmas this year.

Yikes.

Lucy also revealed that theres drama for Lisa too, telling us: Wherever Lisa goes, theres trouble.

Trouble follows Lisa around, even if its not directly about her, she is some way shape or form involved. Im loving that side of things.

Kate Oates previously revealed to Metro.co.uk that the next few months will be action-packed, adding: Theres so much going on in Walford from autumn, well into the New Year. But, of course, in true EastEnders tradition, Christmas is huge.

Much of it will circulate around a very complicated and messy love affair — so expect some major Sheanu drama as it all explodes….but weve got some twists and surprises in that story which last right through to New Year.

Arent we lucky?
