Kelvin Fletcher has emerged as the one to watch after the first week of Strictly Come Dancing 2019, thanks to his sensational samba routine.
The former Emmerdale star was a late arrival to the series after replacing Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing – but is now the bookies favourite to win after delivering a routine with pro partner Oti Mabuse which Shirley Ballas called electrifying.

Why did Kelvin Fletcher replace Jamie Laing on Strictly?
Kelvin Fletcher stepped in to replace Jamie Laing after the reality star suffered an injury which forced him to drop out of the competition.

Jamie had been all set to partner Oti in the show, having been paired up with her on launch night – but quit just days later after injuring his foot during the launch shows group routine.
Although he was seen on that show, he was later seen explaining that he was unable to continue after his foot was put into a surgical boot.
Im absolutely devastated that Im unable to continue in the competition, I was so excited to hit the dance floor! he said.
I would like to wish the lovely couples all the very best and hope they enjoy their time on the show to the fullest.
Kelvin has since admitted that he felt guilty replacing Jamie, telling Heart radio: You know I was absolutely delighted I was ecstatic, my family were really really excited but its on the back of someone elses misfortune.
So it was a really strange feeling because I almost felt guilty about being excited and being really chuffed to do it because you know some poor guy there was absolutely gutted that we was injured and couldnt do it.

He also revealed that he couldnt believe it when he got the call from the show bosses, thinking that perhaps it was an Ant and Dec prank.
