CHANDIGARH: Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) leader Dushyant Chautala is poised to be part of the BJP-JJP coalition government in Haryana, but the over 6-foot-tall young Jat leader is likely to find it tough to go with the saffron party as he was swept to victory on an anti-BJP mandate in the state assembly polls. He will need to walk a tightrope as part of an ideologically disparate alliance government.
Most of his MLAs, including Dushyant, have reached the assembly by defeating BJP stalwarts like state BJP president Subhash Barala, former finance minister Captain Abhimanyu, Rajya Sabha MP Birender Singhs wife, Prem Lata Singh, and other senior BJP leaders in the election, giving an indication that people voted for them because of the strong anti-BJP sentiment.
According to political experts, these BJP giants would certainly not allow Dushyant and his outfit to expand their sphere of influence. The BJP, the major alliance partner, would also not easily pave way for the agenda and vision that Dushyant would try to implement.

Saffron party may not pave way for Dushyants vision
This is because any boost in Dushyants popularity due to any “development works” initiated by him would not augur well for BJP in future.
Before joining hands with BJP, Dushyant had said he was open to supporting any party that would implement a common minimum programme (CMP) comprising some of the promises he made to the people during assembly polls. “Why would BJP allow him to become a hero? People would notice the differences once the coalition take charge. Ideologically also both are different. It is going to be a tightrope walk for Dushyant,” experts pointed out.
