EU-Taiwan International Medical Devices Matching Fair-Unlimited Business Ties and Market Extension From the Hsinchu Science Park

The Hsinchu Science Park brought a group of biomedical device manufacturers to attend Medica, the global largest trade fair for the medical device industry, to Germany on Nov. 17, 2019, together with a matching fair for Taiwanese biomedical device manufacturers and European companies. After the fair, Medimaging Integrated Solution, Inc. from Hsinchu Science Park (HSP) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with European companies, looking forward to further cooperation programs between both parties.

Eight companies from the HSP participated in the fair, including Medimaging Integrated Solution, Inc., North-vision Tech Inc., General Biologicals Corporation, Brain Navi Biotechnology Co. Ltd., Somnics, Inc., Advanced Biomedical Technology Inc., Phalanx Biotech Group, and BROADSIMS Inc., whose product technologies range from digital medicine, medical imaging, 3-D printing, and precision medicine, to precision testing. EU counterparts participating in the fair included technology companies, distributors, agents, and venture capitalists. The fair attracted high interest from EU companies in biomedical technologies in the HSP manufacturers.

Ministry of Science and Technology held an international festival on the evening of Nov. 19, allowing manufacturers of both parties to share business opportunities and ideas.

A number of companies demonstrated products at the fair from HSP, such as Puriblood Medical Co. Ltd., V-Check, Inc., and EPS Bio-Technology Corp., as well as participating in the festival with open talks with EU counterparts.

HSP company Medimaging Integrated Solution Inc. also signed the Memorandum of Cooperation with EU partners regarding technology partnership and dealership.

Mr. Hui Hung Lin, Director of the Hsinchu Science Park Bureau, stated that Taiwan has turned out to be renowned globally for its high-tech as well as biomedical technologies, which has been widely recognized by global media and ranking organizations like Forbes and the World Economic Forum.
