Peter Beale ‘uncovers’ Ians deadly secret

EASTENDERS resident Peter Beale returned to Walford last month after five years away from the soap. With it clear his relationship with his father needs mending, will it be destroyed for good as it looks he may be set to uncover Ian’s deadly secret?

EastEnders fans saw Peter Beale (played by Dayle Hudson) rush back to the Square after his brother Bobby Beale (Clay Milner-Russell) was attacked and put in hospital. However, when Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) discovered the culprit fuelling the hatred against Bobby was Dennis Rickman (Bleu Landau), he took matters into his own hands, which later had deadly consequences – but will his other son Peter discover the truth?

Peter left for New Zealand with his girlfriend Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) back in 2015.

She returned to the Square with baby Louie in tow after announcing her relationship with Peter had ended.

However, after her sister Abi Branning (Lorna Fitzgerald) plunged to her death, she decided to return to Peter with their young son.

Now, Peter is back in Walford after his brother Bobby was brutally attacked and left seriously injured in hospital.

It later emerged Dennis Rickman was responsible for the online abuse directed at the teen after Dotty Cotton (Milly Zero) snooped on the teens laptop.

Ian found out the truth after a drunken Bex Fowler (Jasmine Armfield) confessed what she knew whilst onboard the boat party.

This led to an angered Ian confronting Dennis and deciding to lock him in a room onboard the boat.

However, this decision proved costly when the boat encountered difficulties and started filling with water, leaving several characters trapped.

Dennis was left trapped when Ian ended up losing the keys to release him in time and the worried teen left a voicemail for his mum Sharon (Letitia Dean).

Sharon was in labour at the time and never got the call which was left on The Arches’ phone.

She was greeted by a panicked Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) who gave Sharon the news and she was quick to blame him as well as estranged husband Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden).

Dotty later found out Ians involvement in Dennis death after accidentally stumbling upon the damning voicemail.

She has been blackmailing Ian ever since and in the meantime, has become close with both Bobby and Peter – will one of them be about to find out the truth?

Dayle Hudson, who plays Peter Beale, spoke out on his characters interest in Dotty, saying: “He is interested and intrigued enough to get to know her and see what happens after that.”

However, it seems this newfound friendship could blossom into romance and leave the perfect opportunity for Dotty to get him onside.

Dayle explained how Peter is not trusting of his father, so could he discover whats really happened himself and expose his fathers lies?

He continued: “Its tough, I dont think Peters going to let him in anytime soon. I dont think he has and I dont think he will. I just dont think he trusts him.

“When Peter left, there were so many lies that were told that have really affected Peter and even with his trust and how he commits to people and the majority of that was Ians fault, and Peter knows that.

“I dont think Peters ready to put his faith anywhere near Ian at the moment. Hes nice, he will play the son, he will listen to what he has to say but he wont hear a word of it,” he concluded

Could this be the hint that Peter is about to discover Ians biggest secret of all as he continues to grow close to Dotty?
