NEW DELHI: Two Indians, who were among the 363 nationals brought back to Kerala from the Gulf, have tested positive for Covid-19, chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan said on Saturday.
"Two returnees have tested positive for Covid-19 in Kerala today, taking total number of active cases to 17 in the state," Vijayan was quoted as saying by ANI.
The patients have been admitted to hospitals in Kozhikode and Kochi.
Two special flights from the UAE flew back 363 Indian nationals, including nine infants, to Kerala on Thursday as India began its biggest ever repatriation exercise to rescue its citizens stranded abroad amid the coronavirus-induced travel restrictions.
