CAROL VORDERMAN – who shot to fame on the Channel 4 show Countdown – struggled to speak as she spoke to fans in a tearful video shared on Twitter today.
Carol Vorderman broke down in tears after being “harrassed” outside her home this morning. The Countdown legend shared a moving video with her 441,000 Twitter followers.
The 59-year-old said she had been left both “scared” and “frightened” by the presence of two photographers.
The presenter struggled to speak as she filmed a clip from her car, after pulling over because she was “upset”.
She was seen sat in the front seat with the engine off, and broke down as she recalled what happened.
Carol has previously tweeted another video of what had greeted her on leaving her poperty, saying she was going to report those in question to police.
The star had initially tweeted: “So when I walked outside of my front door this morning I was greeted by two not nice paparazzi… who had turned up at the BBC last week and I went in by a side door to avoid them, so they decided to harass me at home instead.
“I’ve filmed them and might post later.”
“I was scared,” Carol continued. “Yes even after all of these years.
“I came out of my house to go to my car first, saw them and said, ‘You’re harassing me’.”
She then remarked: “They were then after the ‘cross Carol’ pic. I went back inside to have a think and so I filmed them.
“There’s one nice pap in Bristol, who is respectful. Not these two. It frightened me tbh.”(sic)
Carol urged publications not to use the images in question, and maintain her privacy.
Alongside the first video, she wrote: “I will report the two paparazzi to the police later. I don’t expect they will be able to do anything (not their fault and they have bigger things to think about) but at least then it’s logged.
“Meanwhile… chin up and thank you for yr kind messages. They mean a lot.”(sic)
However, Carol appeared inconsolable in her second upload: “I’ve erm… I’m on way to Cardiff to my radio show and erm… I’ve pulled over and turned the engine off and everything.
“It’s really upset me. I don’t normally… It’s not…”
She later thanked users for listening before seemingly making her way to her weekly BBC Radio Wales programme.
Carol had shared a much happier and upbeat message earlier in the day, as she marked a special moment.
She remarked: “Today is my 1st birthday, well of my @BBCRadioWales show and the boss Bridget has said she has a few surprises!
“I know that I have my two men with me… everybody’s DAHHHHHLING @OwainWynEvans and my favourite current Soap Villain of the Year @natsus. Tune in 1130.”
It comes just days after Carol Vorderman flaunted her figure in a skintight lycra outfit ahead of a bike ride, which she told fans she was “rubbish” at.
