Will Smith has once again dashed any hope of a rumoured Fresh Prince Of Bel Air reunion – and laughed off the reboot of the show in typical Prince style.

The actor, 49, made his name in the hit US comedy (alongside his rap career with fellow cast mate Jazzi Jeff), about a teenage boy who relocates from the mean streets of Philadelphia to the multi-million dollar houses of Bel Air and his struggle to fit in.

But Will has once again laughed off any potential reboot of the series, saying he would actually surpass his long-suffering guardian, Uncle Phil, in the age department.

Speaking on The Graham Norton Show which is set to air this Friday (December 22), Will Smith told the chat show host he’s currently older than the late James Avery was when he played Uncle Phil.

‘Man, I‘d have to be Uncle Phil in that one, now I‘m nearly 50!,’ he quipped.

Elsewhere in the interview, Smith recalls when he started in the show in 1990 and also admitted he finds it hard to watch the early episodes of the sitcom

‘It was my very first role and I was very, very focused on being successful so I learnt the whole script and everyone else‘s lines.

‘If you watch the first four or five episodes you can see I‘m mouthing other people‘s lines. It‘s terrible and I can‘t bear to watch it,’ he told the chat show host.

Alfonso Ribeiro is not having it with these Fresh Prince reboot rumours

During Will’s UK gig at Livefest earlier this year with Jazzi, the I Am Legend star told E! News: ‘Stuff had to go really wrong for there to be a Fresh Prince reunion special. Like, I don’t know what would have to happen! Nah man, you can’t touch stuff like that.

‘It’s so nostalgic for people – I’m not going nowhere near that.’

Meanwhile, in October, Alfonso Ribiero, who played Will Smith’s impressionable cousin Carlton in the hit 1990s show, also dashed fans’ hopes earlier this year of any kind of a reunion.

Alfonso said: ‘There ain’t gonna be no Fresh Prince nothing!’

As time goes on, there’s more and more evidence to suggest that the Fresh Prince is never, ever going to happen. But we’re still holding out hope.
