Phillip Schofield confirms Dancing On Ice will return in 2019

Great news, ice dancing lovers, Dancing On Ice will be back!

As Jake Quickenden was announced the winner of the returning series of Dancing On Ice, Phillip Schofield kept the moment alive by announcing that it’s not the last we’ll see of the show.

Dancing On Ice returned this year having gone off air in 2014, much to the excitement of fans who’d had to do without the show for three years.

And it turns out this comeback was not a flash in the pan and the show is here to stay.

As Jake lifted the trophy, Phil told the crowd: ‘We’ll be back next year with a brand new cast of skating stars!’

Now just a year to wait to see who will be taking to their skates.

And it’s a year to wait to see what Holly will be wearing next, as her wardrobe has been somewhat of a wonder this series.

Each week the This Morning host has shared snaps of her outfits ahead of the Sunday show, and each week her gowns have got better and better.

She ended the new series in a bridal-esque gown which transformed her into a beautiful swan.

Jake was in floods as he was crowned this year’s winner, having finally won a reality show!

He told the crowd: ‘I can’t get my head round it, it might mean that I don’t have to do another reality show now.’
