Katy Perry has locked lips with a 19-year-old American Idol contestant – and it appeared he wasn’t too happy about the whole thing.
While many a lad – and a lady – would be chuffed to lock lips with the 33-year-old singer, this particular performer wanted to save his first kiss for a relationship.
Oh, that’s right – Katy Perry stole the first kiss of someone.
And he didn’t like it.
Benjamin Glaze, a 19-year-old cashier from Oklahoma, was auditioning in front of Katy, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan when Luke asked him if he’d ‘kissed a girl and liked it’, before it was revealed he’d never had a relationship and couldn’t kiss a girl if he wasn’t in a relationship.
Eh, I mean, we admire your spirit, kid.
However, Katy then beckoned him up to the panel and asked him to plant a kiss on her cheek.
‘No, wait, hold on!’ a visibly uncomfortable Benjamin said as he walked with trepidation up to the singer.
The first attempt to kiss her cheek was a failure because he didn’t ‘make the sound’, and the second time Katy did the old ‘turn the cheek’ trick, forcing him to kiss her on the lips.
Yes, it’s quite predatory not going to lie – if a guy did that he would be booed and shunned and oiye just think of the scandal!
The guy immediately recoiled as Katy’s fellow judges pointed and laughed at the whole thing.
Not cool, Katy!
And Benjamin felt the same, as he spoke with the New York Times following the whole debacle.
‘I was a tad bit uncomfortable. I wanted to save it for my first relationship. I wanted it to be special,’ he said. ‘Would I have done it if she said, “Would you kiss me?” No, I would have said no.

‘I know a lot of guys would be like, “Heck yeah!” But for me, I was raised in a conservative family and I was uncomfortable immediately. I wanted my first kiss to be special.’
Oh we gotta feel for the guy!
Still, he’s now got a pretty great story. Pity it was all captured on tape for posterity and lols.
