It looks like Star-Lord is getting the recognition he deserves. Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt will be honored with the Generation Award at the MTV Movie & TV Awards with the Generation Award on June 18.

Ever since his days on Everwood, Pratts star has skyrocketed through the stratosphere, as he has appeared in numerous TV shows — specifically as the lovably naive Andy Dwyer in Parks and Recreation. He has also become one of Hollywoods go-to charming movie action star. In addition to Guardians of the Galaxy and Marvels recent uber-blockbuster Avengers: Infinity War, he has starred in TheMagnificent Seven, Moneyball, The Lego Movie, Her, and Zero Dark Thirty. He also starred in Jurassic World and can be seen in the upcoming sequel, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

Pratt is in good company when it comes to the Generation Award, which recognizes outstanding talent and their noteworthy contributions to film and TV. Past recipients of the award include the Fast & Furious franchise, Will Smith, Reese Witherspoon, Sandra Bullock, Jamie Foxx, Ben Stiller, Adam Sandler, Mike Myers, and Pratts Marvel peer Robert Downey Jr.

The MTV Movie & TV Awards will be hosted by Tiffany Haddish and will air at 9 PM ET/PT on June 18 from the Barker Hangar in Los Angeles.
