So, after quite possibly one of the most intense finales of TV ever, Bodyguard is officially over. At least for now.

But while theyve done a pretty stellar job in tying up all the loose ends, theres a few that have left us curious and are going to annoy us until we get some answers.

Heres just a few of the questions we want answers to after watching the final episode:

***Warning: Spoilers. Duh***

What was on that memory stick?

When David went to shoot himself after the death of Julia (breaking our hearts in the process), he retrieved his gun, which had been switched with blank bullets, from his hidey-hole in the ceiling. As he felt around, there was a small black USB stick just casually sitting there next to the pistol.

What did it contain?

Keeley Hawes and Richard Madden Too close to home? BBC One choose to portray terror attack on London primary school in political drama The Bodyguard centres on Home Secretary Julia Montague, played by Keeley Hawes, and her protection officer, played by Richard Madden. After terror attacks on the capital and almost being killed in an assignation attempt, Keeley Hawes character, Home Secretary, and Richard Madden?s bodyguard get steamy at her hotel in a sex scene.

Is Julia Montague really dead?

After the events of tonight, were pretty sure we know the answer to this, and our beloved feisty Home Secretary is now six feet under.

BUT, nevertheless, we hold out hope that may Julia isnt dead, and is instead in deep hiding for some reason or another.

I mean…we never saw a body, with bosses deciding to kill her off-screen after she succumbs to the injuries of the bomb blast at the party conference.

So surely there must be some way to bring her back? Better be a pretty big reason though, considering everything that David went through as a result of her death.

Programme Name: Bodyguard - TX: 10/09/2018 - Episode: n/a (No. Ep 4) - Picture Shows: Vicky Budd (SOPHIE RUNDLE) - (C) World Productions - Photographer: Des Willie

Who was Vicky dating and how did he just disappear? (Picture: BBC/World Productions/Des WillieSource)

Who was Vickys boyfriend and what happened to him?

Vickys boyfriend proved to be the ultimate red herring during this series, with so many theories surrounding the new mystery man in the nurses life.

Despite being mentioned in nearly every episode, with some close encounters by David to just casual comments about the mystery man, he disappeared very quickly.

We never even got to know his name, and yet he meant enough to Vicky to introduce him to Ella and Charlie.

By the end of the finale, it appeared that Vicky might want to give things a go with David again – which were guessing mystery man wont be too happy about.

What the hell was up with Tom?

We didnt like Tom very much. While he appeared to be a good guy, he was definitely a bit of a snitch, and grassed Davids odd behaviour up at any opportunity.

(Then again, the fact that he was the only person at work to notice a gunshot wound to Davids temple raises its own set of questions, to be honest).

In the final episode, after being so keen to keep an eye on the situation throughout, he wasnt to be seen at all. Why?

Longcross pegged it after being caught out with his dodgy dealings to set up David (Picture: BBC)

What happened to Longcross?

Longcross got what was coming to him in the finale after breaking into Davids home, on the request of Roger Penhaligon, and getting pepper sprayed straight in the face thanks to a booby trap.

His quick effort to try and retrieve the illusive tablet proved Davids innocence to the coppers who were convinced he was the mole, and helped him convince them to save him.

However, as he was deactivating the bomb jacket, David asked for an update on him – and he had been released from custody and was now a free man.

Surely he wouldnt be as stupid as to try and get an act of revenge on him? Or will be just realise his bad ways and set out to start a new life that doesnt involve being the busy body of a power-hungry chief whip?
