The Carters are set to be left more concerned than ever when Linda Carter goes even further with her abandonment of incarcerated Mick and sacks Ritchie as his lawyer before then secretly meeting up with Stuart Highway in EastEnders.
Linda has made no secret of the fact that she no longer believes Mick and she has washed her hands of him, much to the dismay of Shirley and Tina who retain their belief that he is innocent.
Stuart arrives at the Vic to talk to Linda and they speak candidly. Afterwards, Stuart sends Linda a message of thanks, confident that he is under her skin and everything is going his way.
When Ritchie then arrives to give an update on Mick, she delivers the suggestion that Mick pleads guilty in order to get a shorter sentence but Linda interrupts and tells her that they dont need her anymore.

Tina is shocked by this and enlists Halfway and Whitneys help to get access to Lindas phone, where she sees the contact between her and Stuart. As she follows Linda to a café, she spots her warmly greeting Stuart and confronts them both. As Tina lashes out at Stuart, Linda stands by him.
And as a showdown erupts back at the Vic, Lindas behaviour leaves Tina even more shocked as she takes unexpected action.
